On The Road Again was established in 1998. Owners, Dirk and Cynthia Essert had a vision of creating a used car business that catered to customers with credit problems.

Dirk and Cindy have over 47 years combined automotive experience and felt that the Valley needed a Buy-Here/Pay-Here dealership that sold quality vehicles that would last and that came with a warranty. Vehicles that could be sold at a reasonable price with realistic down payments and payment schedules.

Dirk and Cindy are very selective in choosing their inventory. Only cars and trucks that are mechanically sound are chosen for their lot. Each vehicle is put through a rigorous reconditioning process that addresses major mechanical issues, state inspection, complete detailing, fluid and filter changes and an Experian Auto Check. Each vehicle must receive a mechanical Green Light before it qualifies for their 3 month / 3000 mile Drive Train warranty.

In addition to offering quality used cars and trucks, On The Road Again offers each customer the opportunity to repair their damaged credit or establish new credit by transferring their accounts to a bank or a loan company with no credit check. This transfer allows their customers the opportunity to receive a credit reference from a nationally recognized financial institution which reports to major credit bureaus.

Our philosophy has proven to be a hit in the Shenandoah Valley over the 10+ years since they opened their doors. On The Road Again has seen a steady growth in business each year, with customers and their friends upgrading to satisfy their growing transportation needs. In addition to their In-House financing, On The Road Again has seen a dramatic increase in their retail sales. This comes from their offering of quality used cars in the hard to find $3000 to $8000 range.
